Wyke were made to work for thier victory against a very much improved Cottingham Tigers team.

It was hard for both teams to pass the ball about and create space as the pitch was very skinny, which created a game for the bigger lads to run hard to try and punch holes down the middle. The 1st try coming for Wyke after 3 minutes. 2 big drives from Keiran Wall and Tyler Conroy set up Nathan Magee to bust through the Tigers line for his first of the night.Wyke 2nd came on 6 minutes from Alfie Broadbent who found space out wide to score in the corner.Wyke were in again on 10 minutes through Sam Clark which saw 3 offloads to which help create the space for Sam Clark to go over in the corner.Cott Tigers were not giving up and eventually broke the Wyke line on 11 minutes.Charlie Weeks made it 4-1 on 12 minutes only for the Tigers to grab another try 2 minutes later. Wyke responded again through Sam Clark on 15 minutes. HALF TIME TIGERS 2 WYKE 5
The 2nd half started well for Wyke as Alfie Broadbent caught the Tigers napping and ran the ball in from the 1st play of the restart.Tyler Conroy made it 7 to Wyke as he rushed into dummy half on the last tackle and went over unopposed.Jack Offen got on the score sheet after again some good off loads in the build up and Jack showed a nice side step to get over in the corner. With the score at 8-2 to Wyke you would think that was that, but the Tigers thought otherwise going over on 22 minutes with some good passing.Ben Stutely scored Wykes next try as the Tigers made Wyke work for the points.Ben could not find the room for his speed outwide so came inside and barged over for his try.Nathan Magee grabbed his 2nd on 26 minutes after a great show and go from Jack Offen made the metres up the pitch. The Tigers again would not give in and scored again on 27 minutes with more flowing passes.Sam Clark completed his hat trick on 28 minutes game over, not quite as Cott Tigers wanted the last word and credit too them they did scoring again in the last play of the game.
