HULL WYKE BACKED THIER WIN AT THE KC STADIUM THE DAY BEFORE WITH A MORALE BOOSTING VICTORY AGAINST THE OLD FOE WEST HULL

After a cagey opening when both teams closed out one anothers openings sets, Wyke were first to register with a try from Ben"THE ROCKET"Stutely who shrugged off several tackles jinking left then right to find a gap and head for the line not even a last ditched tackle could stop him reaching over for the line.West hull responded in thier next set to level the scores, only for Wyke to go back in front after a good break from Sam Clark which brought Wyke to 10 metres of West hulls line a couple of more drives brought the final tackle, from which Sam"MANU"McAuley scooted from 7 metres out and with 5 West Hull defenders in front of him still managed to get the ball down on the line.Wests came straight back with some woeful tackling from Wyke 2-2.Wyke kept going forward with Keiran Wall and Tyler Conroy making the hard meters forward for the speedsters looking for the openings, which came on 11 minutes from Harry Gunn Mclean who found space out wide and arked his run well.West levelled the scores with 2 minutes of the half remaining 3-3 HT
West scored straight from the restart, buy Wyke replied a minute later through Charlie Weeks after again good metres from Sam Clarke.Wests again took the lead 2 minutes later, and Wyke looked tired in defence.Jack Offen stepped up to the plate and started to make good metres with a good hand off in tow and it paid off when Nathan Magee went over after good off loads from Ben Stutely and Jack Offen set up good field position.Withh the scores tied at 5-5 Wyke found thier second wind and with 8 minutes left both teams cancelled one another out, until the 27 minute when Ben Stutely ran right across the pitch to stop and run back to the left and found an opening to be tackled 20 metres short of the line.Jack Offen took the next run and again made good metres forward.Sam Clark then stepped forward and beat 3 tackles and looked to pass to Joseph Staines but dummied and went over to put Wyke ahead.Wyke held out for the last 3 minutes to claim a big scalp
