The first game pitted Wyke against an under-strength Bilton, who had to borrow players from the chargers to see the game go ahead. This didn’t deter them though as they took a well deserved 1-0 lead into halftime.

The chargers came out with all guns blazing in the 2nd half and quickly equalised through Olly Haigh, only for Bilton to respond and retake the lead. The game at this point looked to be slipping away from the visitors until Jacob Welburn stormed in to level things once more. This was to be the last score of the game, as Bilton, aided by some last ditch tackling from their loan players withstood a final onslaught from the Chargers.

The final game of the evening couldn’t have been more different for Wyke as they dominated a strong Holderness Vikings outfit from start to finish. Early resistence from the Villagers proved to be futile as Wyke put on an excellent defensive show and kept their opposition to nil. This great platform set the Chargers up for an equally stunning effort in attack, as tries from Niall Airey, Jacob Welburn, Jack Addison and a brace from Billy Gill gave them an easy and well deserved victory.
