Hull wyke at v Beverley v Cottingham v Skirlaugh
Hull Wyke under 8s were invited to the Burton Pidsea festival on Sunday with the first game against Beverley; Wkye started the game strongly with good tackles coming in form Finn Rebera and Sebastien Hawtree. They then built on this with 2 quick trys from Jacob hill and Lennie Clark. In the second half a break from Jack Lawler sent Lennie clark over for his second to finish the game.
The second game was against Cottingham which was played as a five a side game due to low numbers from Cottingham, Wyke ran in 7 trys with Jacob Hill scoring 2 ,Lennie Clark, Elliot Johnson, Jay Kirby, Will Kirby and Ashton Booth all grabbing a try a piece.
The last game was against Skirlaugh and in this game Wyke really started to play rugby. They listened to their coaches and played how we want them to play. A great move by ben Johnson lead to a try by ben with a good dummy ,the forwards then started to dominate with strong runs from Elliot Johnson, Jay Kirby, and Jack Lawler. This gave us great field position which led to a great try by Will Kirby. The tackling in this game was also fantastic with our outside backs Seb Hawtree, Jacob Hill, and Finn Rebara all doing cover tackles a one time or another. The game finished with another try from ben Johnson in another move we had practised in the week.
Good work today boys and the all coaches commented on your behaviour which was perfect all afternoon well done you were a credit to the club.
