Hull Wyke under 8,s played Myton warriors on a very hot and humid night in Beverley. Wyke started the game strongly with a try from Lennie Clark the first of three he scored. Then a very well drilled Myton team came back into the game with three quick trys. The game changed with the introduction of Jack Lawler who shored up Wykes defence with great line speed and good one on one tackling. Wyke then scored try’s quickly themselves with Jack Lawler and Ben Johnson getting on the score sheet. In the second half the boys came alive and runs from Elliot Johnson, Jay Kirby and Will Kirby the later who got over the line for a great try. Great tackling from Jacob Hill and Dylan Yeaman stopped some certain try’s from Myton. The game finished with a great ball from Ashton Booth (who had a great game at dummy half) to Seb Hawtree who ran the full length of the pitch to score a great try. Well done boys after all your efforts at the Kippax tournament and the heat this was a gutsy performance keep it up.
