Hull wyke under 8s had two short games on Saturday at a fun day organised by Hull Dockers first game on the agenda was Skirlaugh A, Wyke started positively with strong drives from Will Kirby and Finlay Rebara. Which finished with a great try for James Farrar. Skirlaugh then had their chance to attack but were stopped by Wyke’s line speed led by Dylan Yeaman, Jack Lawler and Jay Kirby, Jays line speed was especially good in the boiling heat. Wyke backed that game up with a quick turnaround with a game against a very good Hull Dockers side which again Wyke started quickly with drives and trys by Lennon Clark and Elliot Johnson. Wyke then tried to give the ball some air and our backs got their hands on the ball led by Seb Hawtree, Joe Wood and Ashton Booth, our backs are receiving the ball more every week and will continue to do so as the lads get more confident in their passing ability. The game finished with a great try by Jacob Hill put over in the corner well by Ben Johnson. Sorry I have not put all the trys in the report but over the two games there were too many highlights to mention, well done boys.
Lastly I would like to thank Hull Dockers for inviting us to a well organised fun day and look forward to welcoming them to ours in the near future.
