Hull Wyke v West Hull under 8s 1/7/14

Hull Wyke turned up with 14 players to Wests who because of injury and holidays only had 7 so we had to play 2 different teams at 7.5 mins each half.

But from the start the lads adjusted well and soon scored 2 quick tries through Jack Lawler and Ben Johnson. Wests then rallied round and was reduced to 1 first half try thanks to tackling from Sebastien Hawtree, Finn Rebara, and Jacob Hill.

Some strong drives from Jay Kirby and Lennon Clark followed allowing the later to score 2 quick tries. The first half finished with tries for William Kirby and James Farrar.

The second half started as the first had ended with hard running which was bending wests line at every drive with Liam Wilkinson and Joe Wood at the forefront of this. Of course none of this would be possible without the dummy half passes of Dylan Yeaman and Ashton Booth the later who managed to score his first try thanks to a break from Ben Johnson and an unselfish pass which left a tear in the eye of head coach Nikki as Ashton touched down.

Then Elliot Johnson ran the ball in from the halfway broke there line and ran in for a fantastic try. The game finished with 3 quick tries for James Farrar who Wests struggled to cope with all day. Another good game boys keep it up.
