Hull Wyke played West Hull on Tuesday in a highly competitive game which both sets of coaches must have been happy with. Wests started with some powerful runs that Wyke defended well with Elliot Johnson, Jamie whiting and Jack Lawler. Wyke then took their turn with the ball and ran it in well with Sebastien Hawtree, William Kirby and Lennon Clark the later who managed to get over for two tries. James Farrar ran the ball in well all half and scored a hat trick before half time. The one on one tackling was superb with the best examples been Jacob Hill, man of the match Joseph Wood and great effort winner Ashton Booth. Parents man of the match was Liam Wilkinson who ran the ball in all night with power. West Hull tried to run down our fringes all night but was foiled by Finlay Rebera and Leo Madsen who did some last gasp tackles. The highlight of the game for me was Jay Kirby's run for his try which he had been threatening to do for many games now. Dylan Yeaman’s line speed was for me another plus he was in there faces all the time. The game finished with a well took try by Ben Johnson who again pushed the team round the park well. Well done boys let’s see you at training on Saturday.
