Hull Wyke entertained Skirlaugh Bulls on Tuesday night in a game that had such an intensity that would make coaches of teams a lot older very proud.
Wyke started with barnstorming runs from Lennon Clark and Elliot Johnson. Skirlaugh then had their turn with the ball and had some barnstorming runs but Wyke’s line speed more than held there own with great tackles from Jacob Hill, Jamie Whiting and Jack Lawler.
The game was starting to be a forwards dominated game with very strong performances from joint Man of the Matches William Kirby and Jay Kirby. Off the back of the forward runs James Farrar scored the first of his three tries.
Of course the forwards would not be able to play without the flat passes of Ashton Booth and Dylan Yeaman who must get a special mention this week as I thought both were brilliant.
The second half started with Skirlaugh attacking and again great tackling from Liam Wilkinson, Joseph Wood and Sebastien Hawtree (of which Joe and Seb are starting to form a great centre wing combination). The game was bossed by pivot Ben Johnson who threw some great passes out, one which was capitalized on by Lennon Clark to score a well worked try.
Well done boys keep it up.
