Holderness Vikings gave Wyke a lesson in how attitude and execution plays a big part in teamwork.
Wyke who had been on a decent run of form lately, didn't perform and for the most part were not allowed to perform. The Viking's excellent attitude to defence, meant that Wyke failed to cross the line.
We need to be honest and this failure must be shared out among the team, who once again failed to let the ball do the work. They decided one man rugby was the way to go, and this was never going to break the Vikings defence.
Too many times individuals failed to look for support or no support was present. Overlaps were overlooked, last tackle options were poor.
There was no communication and the biggest problem was the defensive line speed and failing to move up and put pressure on the opposition.
Drastic action needs and will be taken in this area, if this team is to go on to better things.
Well done to the Vikings
