Hull Wyke under 12s won the spoils at Skirlaugh for the second time this year, in a hard fought entertaining contest at Eastside.
Wyke who were without three of their regular starting pack knew that the Bulls would come looking to avenge their pre-season loss to Wyke.
The bulls started brightly and looked the more desperate of the two sides and were very good value for their half time lead of 10 - 4 with Wyke's only score coming from Jack Addison.
The second half got under way with the Wyke players left in no doubt they had to step up a gear and the outstanding Jack Addison set the tone for the fight back with some strong quick aggressive direct running that sparked the rest into action.
Matthew Thomas who came back into the team after a few weeks out was much improved and the whole team found another level that was missing in the first period.
Addison went over again to get things going and minutes later James Driver, who again looks so much better, going hard and direct, set off for a superb try. The conversion by Jack Cone being the only two added during the game.
The final five to six minutes was backs to the wall stuff from Wyke as Skirlaugh repeatedly pressurised them. Wyke managed to keep the determined Skirlaugh at bay though.
Well played both teams. FT 10 - 14.
