Hull Wyke 12s got off to great start on Sunday morning at the Willows and scored 1st through James Driver.
Wyke continued to be a match for Dockers all first half and though the end scoreline did not reflect this.
A number of unforced errors let Dockers get their noses in front and at half time the score of 10 - 4 was about right.
The second half started with much of the same until after about 5 minutes when an aerial cross field kick was taken on the full by a grateful Dockers winger.
He then ran the length of the field to score under the posts. At that point the game went away from Wyke who became frustrated and made basic errors.
Dockers although not the most physical team fed off Wyke mistakes and punished them accordingly. They showed why they are top of the table with some very good handling.
For Wyke the key to taking that next step forward is to move away from one man Rugby.
The improved competence with the ball at training needs to be brought to match days.
Well played both teams.
