On a very hot morning at Coleford Park Hull Wyke produced an encouraging display against an Isberg team who were not prepared to lay down for the visiting team.
After gong six nil down early on Wyke soon got into gear with a quick brace of tries from captain James Driver both converted in front by Jack Addison.
After that followed a period of play were Isberg managed to stem the flow and looked to be gaining confidence until Jordan Train who ran strongly all game went over, again converted by Addison for half time score of Isberg 6 - 18 Hull Wyke.
The second half got off to a great start for the visitors with Matthew Thomas an Jack Cone making good yards forward it was Train who again went over for Addison to add the two.
The whole team now seemed to have got a little confidence back with the ball and started to make better use of it which was pleasing for the Wyke coaches as they look a much better team when doing so.
Kieran Broom went over in the corner for a well taken try with the conversion this time missed, and Isberg hit back with a score of their own before another great run from Cone rounded off the try scoring and with Jack Addison who is enjoying some good form with the boot off the field, Broom took over the kicking duties and landed one from touch for full time score Isberg 12 - 34 Hull Wyke.
Special mention this week goes to Will Spurgeon who had his best game for some time, and Gabriel Rodrigues-Marinho who does not get the credit his consistency deserves.
Well played both teams.
