Wyke Stun the Bulls

Hull Wyke under 12s put in an outstanding all round team effort to defeat a decent Skirlaugh Bulls side at Cropton road on Sunday Morning.
In what was a very physical opening to the game, Skirlaugh who were looking avenge earlier losses to Wyke this year tested the home side and it took a James Driver try to split the teams in a very close first half.
The game continued to be tight affair with some crunching tackles from both teams until Kieran Broom went down the Bulls Right hand side a kicked ahead beating several Bulls defenders to win the foot race to line and finally get Wyke on the front foot.
HT 8 - 0

The second half began with Jack Addison who again had a towering game, rampaging down the left hand side to go over in the corner.
Again he was unlucky with the conversion, another difficult kick from touch.
At 12 - 0 the Bulls who had played well fell away on the back of some strong tackling from Wyke.
Jordan Train and Gabriel Rodrigues Marhino both had big games, but in truth the whole team came together and played their part.
Wyke who have looked so good at times this year in training with the ball started to show off their ability with some good hands and further tries from Cone who converted his own try and Finlay Johnson who took a pass off James Driver to touch down With Josh Plummer converting.
Wyke were now running riot and full of confidence scored the try of the game when Addison combined superbly with Driver for the next try and scoring was round off near time with Addison going over again to seal a fantastic victory over a good Bulls side in what was described by the coaches afterwards as the most complete performance from this side to date.
