Hull Wyke under 12s pushed table topping Hull Dockers all the way at Cropton Road on Sunday morning.
The final score of 12 - 30 really did not reflect how even this game was and with more hard work over the coming winter
Wyke can look close the gap further on the leading teams in the age group.
Although wrong options in the final third of the pitch cost Wyke dear it was pleasing to see the team be in a position
have those chances on a regular basis.
Jack Addison led the way for the home side with some powerful running and tackling which was rewarded with a try and two goals.
Keelan Mitchell and Aiden Dalo who both had big games helped Wyke's go forward, and with strong runs from Jordan Train and Gabriel Marhino also a feature of a determined display from Wyke.
Jack Cone who had a big game in defence helped his team with plenty of talk and really got them going.
Although disappointed to lose the Wyke players can be proud of their performance.
Well done boys the improvement is there to see.
