Hull Wyke under 12s somehow managed to steal defeat from the jaws of victory on Sunday morning
at Cropton Road.
In what was a physical but highly entertaining encounter Wyke looked in command for large periods.
The effort from everyone of the players from Wyke deserves credit as does the spirit of a Dockers side
that never gave in.
Tries for Jack Addison and Jordan Train who's try was brilliantly converted from touch by Addison got Wyke off to great start
on the back of dominant defence and early in the game the home team played some decent Rugby too only for
Dockers to hit back before half time.
HT 10 - 6.
The second half saw both teams start to tire and as a result more errors crept in which stopped the flow of the game slightly.
A brilliant individual effort from the Wyke Captain James Driver diving one handed into the corner was maybe harshly ruled out.
A powerful break from the halfway line saw Jack Cone swerve several Dockers defenders before going in at the corner to put Wyke back in command.
After that a series of unforced errors allowed Dockers a way back into the contest and credit must go them for taking their chances.
In spite of some heroic defence, not completing enough sets cost Wyke and two late tries broke the home sides hearts.
