Hull Wyke 12s produced a much improved display at West Hull on Sunday morning.
The match started with some strong direct running from Wyke which was a big improvement from seven day previous.
Oliver Gillespie, Jack Addison and Jack Cone led the way for Wyke in a good battle between two strong sets of forwards.
Wyke cancelled out Wests opener with a well worked try with some goods hands for James Driver to go over in the corner.
After that the game was a very even encounter with Wests gaining the advantage with a strong five minutes either side of half time.
Wyke still had opportunities to score with West Hulls defence holding firm, and towards the end of the game West Hull sealed the win with a well worked try from the overlap.
In all Wyke were very unlucky but produced a display they could be proud of.
