East Hull had the ball from the off, and moved up the park against the ferocious Wyke tackling and got to within sight of the try line before being turned back. The ball was given to Wyke and the lads pushed hard on their set of six and moved ¾ of the way back up the field before being stopped themselves.
The ball was handed over and East Hull drove hard into the Wyke defence, until a fault line opened and one lad escaped and ran ½ the field to score. Hull Wyke responded with a try of their own forged out of team work and perseverance.
The tackling and running from both sides was excellent, and at half time the score was 2 tries to 1 to East Hull, and from the first half entertainment the second half was to be worth waiting for, as the lads did us all proud.
The tackling and running from all was beyond belief as the team seemed to gel and work as a unit. The final score reflected the effort being put in by both sides, and unfortunately for Hull Wyke, East Hull walked off the field victorious in a 5 tries to 4 victory.
