After a long drive the lads stretched their legs on the park at the Holderness Vikings ground prior to the game, the skies were grey and threatening with the odd spot of rain, but the lads took to the field against a much larger opposition.
Holderness Vikings took possession from the off and with their first set of six progressed up the field to score in the corner. Hull Wyke took possession and tried hard to break the Vikings defence, but against an older and bigger team the lads couldn’t break free, and only made a few yards before the hand over.
The Vikings made good progress on their possession, and more often than not were thwarted by the Wyke defence. The lads defence was brilliant against this much larger opposition, and the score line was a credit to the lads, as they kept going and going prior to being rewarded with a consolation try.
The final score was 7 tries to 1 in favour of the Holderness Vikings.
The Wyke try was scored by Benedict Walker
The Man of the Match was given to Benedict Walker.
The Best Effort Award was given to Noah Broadbent.
