Harrowing home game

On the 3rd home game of the season the lads set foot onto home turf against West Hull B, and play commenced with West Hull taking possession and driving forward from the whistle. In a quick passage of play West Hull exposed the Hull Wyke wings and scored.
Hull Wyke took possession of the ball and over the next set of six drove into the West Hull defence, but time and time again the line held and the advances were turned back. So West Hull took possession again on and drove home their advantage, and scored after exposing the wings.
Hull Wyke again took possession and moved forward with purpose and advanced up the field of play, and through their set of six got close to the West Hull try line. These exchanges were repeated time and time again, with West Hull occasionally breaking free through some fantastic running which exposed holes within the Hull Wyke defensive line allowing tries to be scored.
Hull Wyke responded with some ferocious tackling and hard drives, but unfortunately West Hull were too strong and at the final whistle were declared the victors in a 7 tries to 13 game.
