The whistle blew and the game started with Skirlaugh, and they made a ground rapidly with there first set of six scoring, in the corner. Hull wyke took possession and ran the ball through all their six and got close to the try line, only to be turned back at the last. The ball was handed over and Skirlaugh made good use of their possession moving close to the Hull Wyke try line, but with some great tackling there advances were repulsed, and this was the flow of the game for the first half which ended 3tries to nil in favour of Skirlaugh.
After a team talk, and water the second half started with Hull Wyke and they pressed home their possession and through Jay stone scored the first response. Skirlaugh immediately responded and the game moved into a state of stalemate with the ball moving between the teams. Several of the Hull Wyke players made snaking runs, before Benedict Walker pierced the Skirlaugh defence and scored. The ball was taken by Skirlaugh and through several passages of play they managed to work their way to the line and score. This looked to be the end of the game as the hooter was sure to blow, when suddenly Hull Wyke broke free and Jay Stone burst through the tackles to score the third and final try for Hull Wyke.
Skirlaugh came out on top with a 5 tries to 3 victory
