HULL WYKE U8 BLUES SHOW THEIR EXPERIENCE IN A TOUGH ENCOUNTER

This was a thrilling and entertaining game with both teams giving there all in front of quite a large crowd.

At the start of the game Hull Wyke Blues quickly moved into a two- nil lead with both Finlay and Tyler getting over the line for deserved tries.

Also in the early stages HW’s defence was watertight against Isberg’s advances with superb tackling from all the team, with all the lads working as seamless defensive unit, with Tyler, Sam and Billy all making cracking tackles.

However, halfway through the first half the game changed to a more open running game with both sides running in tries which was entertaining for the appreciative crowd, but would have frustrated both coaches.

Further tries from Billy and Tyler ensured that the score line at half time was even.

The second half followed the same pattern as that set during the later stages of the first half with penetrating runs from both teams resulting in fine tries. Tyler in particular was having a magical game, with this now familiar dazzling zippy runs, which had the Isberg defence tied into knots and also chasing his shadow.

There was also strong runs from Morgan, Charlie and James, with the later two showing great potential in only there third games for HW.

Will and Nathan both contributed again with there usual strong tackling on the flanks forming a barrier on the wing and also there trademark attacking weaving runs, which resulted in a score for Nathan and Will being agonising held up just short of the line.

Liam again played an important role for the team playing at dummy half and made some great passes for his teammates to run onto and also some strong runs as well.

Further tries from Finlay, Sam and two more from Tyler in the second half made the score line 9 all with a minute of the game left.

I I then advanced towards HW line with seconds of the game remaining only to be denied a winning try by superb last ditch tackling from Billy, Morgan, Charlie and James which ensured that the game ended in draw.
