Hull Wyke under 9s turned up for their second game against East Hull in as many weeks. Wyke started the game positively with a great defensive first set with tackles from Elliot Johnson and Will Kirby. Then Wyke started to attack and scored a good first try with good structure with a ball from Ben Johnson to James Farrar. Wyke then held out Easts again with good defence from Sebastien Hawtree and Jacob Hill who held their respective wing positions brilliantly all game. Then the forwards started to take control of the game with quick trys from Jay Kirby x2 and Jack Lawler. Wyke finished the half with a great individual try from James Farrar.
In the second half Ryan Halls great run was finished by a pass from James to Lennie Clark who went in at the corner. Dylan Yeaman came on in for his stint in the second half and was fantastic he directed the boys round the pitch from dummy half, good tackling again from Ryan Hall, Ashton Booth, and Joe Wood kept out East Hull again, the game finished with try that was out the top drawer from a dummy half pass from Issac Craven (who was playing his first game) to Ben Johnson to James Farrar who dropped of Lennie Clark to score with support backing him up.
A good effort today boys. See you all at training. Also nice to see Jack Horsfield, Rhys Vine and Finley Chapman supporting the boys well done.
