Although a cup final place is up for grabs the development from youth is our main priority
- Alex Hardie. Head Coach

Hull Wyke Academy will select our final 19 man match day squad after Thursday evenings training squad to ensure all the players who played in last week's U18 Yorkshire Cup quarter final are fit and available.

After 2 Academy games we are in a healthy position with 7 x 16 year olds already making debut and a total of 10 u18s played, plus 7 lads who are 18/19.

Once again the emphasis will be on youth, U19 Dave Mattinson has been strong at loose forward and Andy Sexton has added a good dimension in the centres, U18 Ryan Johnson will be looking to add to his 4 tries from his 1 Academy game, Casey Hutchinson and George Cooke usually carve out the groundwork and play nice rugby. U17s Ryan Dearing and Lewis Harold are continuing great progression and looking to carry on their rugby pathways including trials at England Colleges team and U16 Captain Ben Dean & fellow u16 prop Connor Weinman are matching it up against seasoned prop forwards. One more to look for is the youngest but largest player in the team, Damian Smentek who has made great progress having only played the game 2 years.
